May I take this opportunity to thank all of you who came and brought along such a fantastic selection of exhibits. We had engines ranging in size from ones that will fit into the palm of my hand to ones weighing 20 tons. Museums were represented by the Anson Engine Museum and Internal Fire Museum of Power who both provided very interesting and enlightening displays. The Tractor section was enhanced by the presence of the Ferguson Club and their exhibits as well as the appearance of some very rare tractors on the line.

There were many other excellent displays too numerous to mention in this small space except to thank everybody for their attendance. It is a shame the rain came about one hour too early on Sunday afternoon and forced us to close slightly ahead of schedule.

Finally I can't let the retirement of two Stewards pass without a mention.

Dave Foden who has done the Tractor section for a number of years is passing on his post of responsibility to other members of the F.C.V.M.0. committee.

Secondly, the Engine Booking-in Steward, has reluctantly decided to retire from her position. She has held this post for the past 23 years and she will be greatly missed by all the "Engine Men" who know her. I would like to publicly thank her for all her hard work over this extraordinary length of service.

Don't forget - A date for your Diary.
Next year's Rally is on 21st & 22nd June. Put it on your calendar now.

Best wishes for the rest of the season.
